This is another excellent films from the Coens, and if you are a fan of their work, then give these guys some money and buy this film. Barton Fink is a Broadway playwright who reluctantly relocates to Hollywood to write screenplays. By Sven Mikulec The utterly dominant performance of the Coen brothers' genre-bending Barton Fink at the 1991 Cannes Film Festival forced the executives of this revered yearly manifestation to alter the rules, so that no other film could achieve such an impressive award harvest ever again. I'm not gonna say my interpretation because I don't really have one that I feel confident in sharing, and that's because there are many ways you can interpret, as to what the films is trying to say. It's a really well made film, and I'm looking forward to watch it again because there's a lot of symbolism and metaphors you can interpret. The cinematography from Deakins is excellent. They are not funny because they say funny jokes, they are funny because of their charisma and personality. I remember all the supporting characters because the Coens make them over the top and funny. John Goodman is perfect, and even the rest of the supporting characters are amazingly written. Personally, I don't write myself, but I could definitely understand this man.
